Using Banana Travel Sim

Q1: How do I activate the data service?

  1. Insert the Banana Travel Sim into your phone or mobile device and restart it upon arrival.

  2. Enable "Mobile Data" and "Data Roaming" on your phone or device.

  3. The SIM card will automatically connect to the local network.

Tip for dual-SIM phones: Insert the SIM card into the SIM 1 slot and set SIM 1 as the primary data service network.

Reminder: Before removing the Banana Travel Sim or switching back to another SIM card, remember to disable mobile data roaming to avoid unnecessary roaming charges.


Q2: What if my Banana Travel Sim doesn’t connect to the data service?

Ensure the following:

  1. The SIM card is correctly inserted into your phone or device.

  2. The network mode is set to 5G/4G manually.

  3. "Mobile Data" and "Data Roaming" are enabled, and the correct Access Point Name (APN) is configured. Refer to the label on the SIM card packaging for details.

    • Android: Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names (APN).

    • iOS: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Data Network (APN).

    • Note: APN settings may vary for specific Android phones or tablets. Consult the manufacturer if needed.

Banana Travel Sim connects automatically to the local network.

Banana Travel Sim does not support roaming voice calls. However, you can use third-party apps like WhatsApp or Line to make voice calls using mobile data.

When replacing your SIM card abroad, WhatsApp will ask if you want to retain or update your number. Simply choose to retain your current number to continue using your existing WhatsApp account.
